An idea a day:
77. For interior design software, add a Feng Shui index for reference to customer.
As all people in HK care so much on Feng Shui, people are willing to pay much for feng shui masters to give advice on the setting and decoration in interior design, why software cant?

As all masters argue Feng Shui is scientific, like all science, are based on logic, this could make it alright to formulate a theory, pluging all assumptions and variable into software, forming a Feng Shiu index/rating.

The index logarithms can be setted according to various Feng Shui theories, advice from Feng Shui masters, and a constant stream of examples of highly Feng Shui rated decoration. The examples are for statistical purpose of calculating index.

Simple calculations can be done like this:
1. Enter the date of birth/sex of all residents of the apartment
2. Enter the location, external features/ environmental features, chinese/english name of the apartment
3. Then calculation on the matchness of apartment to residents could then be known from Feng Shui point of view
4. For internal design, as there are tons of examples in market for reference and calibration, just calculate the degree of similarity between examples and yours, then a score (of similarity) could be known
5. Modification of internal design could be made to maximize the score to obtain a Feng Shui house

This could made the design software other than for designing in aesthetics way, it take into account the conventional wisdom of accent chinese, on environmental metaphysics and psychology.

Comments:

Feng Shui is now very hot in US!
Steve,

Have you handled any interesting web2.0 startup?
Yes, but all feature are similar, spinning ideas around social networking, crowd sourcing/funding, online sharing of video, photo, messages, idea etc.

All the different is the fund they are seeking.
