Rules of Thumb is a great book, here is the one that I like so far:
If you are on the scene of emergency and need help, point to one specific person and say "You, call 911". This gets the individual involved in a personal way whereas saying "Someone call 911" will not.
I am crazy enough to complete watching Kuraki Mai Taiwan, Seoul & Japan tour. She wears less in HK!
This list (xls) of books attracts me. As my birthday (24 Dec) is coming, I am trying to give hints to my colleagues the books that I want... Haha... I am a bad boss.
On a bright side, it gives them a reason to go to bookstores, whereas the last time for them to visit may be back to secondary school years.
I am going to Kuraki Mai concert tonight, of course free VIP tickets. I used to love her very much during College time. She is gorgeous last night, the whole concert is fun and the fans are hyper. It is much better than Win-ds. It is my first time to go to Poly Audiotorium, although the place is small, everything is good.
When I just graduated and join the work force, I always wonder why bosses are so mean and emotinoal. I swear to myself and truely believe that I would be a nice boss when I become one.
Today I make my suboridinate (a freshgrad girl) burst into tears on a small stuff. At first, I just want to teach her the right way of seeing, may be my thought is a little abstrast after a week of sleep deprivation, after explaining several time, she seems do not get it. I become a little enraged. Then things happen... My Tourette's syndrome comes out naturally.
And I should have mentioned, it is not the first time. It may be a habit of every ex-trader.
My smart goal this year would be to learn how to manage and teach suboridinates, especially when the number is growing.
I got free ticket to w-inds concert, although I could not recognize any songs, I think it is enjoyable. I guess over 80% of the audience is girls under 20, and they are all frenetic, it reminds me of a episode of South Park on Jonas Brothers.
I read and watched Persepolis over weekend. Girls in HK should be glad that they are not living in Iran.
This is beautiiiful: A gr-il jumps over a line marking where the former Berlin Wall used to stand.
